7th Grade Mentoring Program

We are launching a new mentoring program for seventh graders called Project Paws (Positively Affecting Wellsville Students). Seventh graders were paired according to interests and then assigned to a junior or senior mentor with similar interests. The mentor is to be a positive role model, a supporter, a listener and a friend to the seventh graders. The students will meet once a month throughout the year and they will have a topic and an agenda for each meeting. Agendas may include topics such as organizing your school day, organizing your locker, knowing how to use your planner and handbook, etc. We are excited to see the effects that these mentors will have on helping the seventh graders become acclimated to the Junior/Senior High School.
